Summary: Police have arrested a 22 year old waiter for serving salmon tartare to a client who had a severe allergy to seafood. The man ordered beef tartare and received the salmon tartare instead, causing him to go into anaphylactic shock and a coma that lasted several days. For the Crown to convict the waiter, they would have to have proof of his extreme carelessness towards the clients safety. This case appears to be different than any other criminal negligence case.
